The Race Season is Over!
Well, the kids did great on Nov. 25th - Cole came in 2nd in the main event and Makayla came in 3rd! The next race was scheduled for Dec. 2nd, but it got rained out! It was rescheduled for Dec. 9th, but again with the rain!!! So the last race was cancelled and the season is over! Congrats to Makayla for finishing 2nd in the Junior 1 Championship for the season!

Watch the kids on T.V.!!!
The kids (along with a lot of other racers) will be on Channel 5 Monday morning (Nov. 19th)! The station is coming out to the track early Monday morning, and our kids will be among the karts featured! The broadcast starts at 4am and they will show clips from the track between 4am and 7am I believe! It's early, I know, so set your Tivo/DVR so you don't miss it!
Race Update - October 28th!!
Well, the kids did awesome again! Cole won his first ever main event and Makayla finished 2nd!!! Makayla is now 2nd in the points for the season, so she'll be racing hard to finish in the top three for the next two races!
Come out and watch the kids - Sunday, November 25th and Sunday, December 2nd at 11:00am!!! See you there!

Race Update ~ October 14th Race!!!
We had an awesome race day!!!
The kids did fantastic yesterday at PKRA!!!
First, Cole won the first heat race for kid karts, and finished second in the second heat race (keep in mind that since he is still a rookie he has to start from the back for every race). He finished second in the main event!!! This was his last race as a rookie, so no telling what he'll do if he starts up front!
Makayla qualified fourth in Junior 1's and finished third in the heat race! She ended up finishing third in the main event! She did awesome! And since she is in the points race for the top three for the season we are not going to the dunes at the end of the month, but instead will be out at the track for raceday on the 28th! See you there!

Race Update ~ September 29th!
Wow! What a great night of racing! We took a few hits, but didn't come out too bad!
Makayla qualified third, WON the heat race, and was leading the main event until she was taken out by two other karts. But she got back on the track and raced her butt off and managed to finish 4th! Great job Makayla - we're so proud of you!
Cole did a great job in both of his heat races (he is so good at the starts - he just motors by the other kids!). In the main event he started last (because he's still a rookie) and got to 1st after the first turn! But, he too was taken out by another kart in turn 3 and was in second to last place by the time he got going again. Just like his sister, he raced his little heart out and finished 4th!!! Awesome job Cole - keep up the good work!
The next race is Sunday, October 14th - a day race! Come on out and support the team!

Stupid Hobby Racing Update!
Cole had his first race on Saturday night and came in fourth place! Great job Cole! Makayla raced too and she ended up in fifth place - not too shabby! Here are some pics from that night:

STUPID HOBBY RACING UPDATE!
Makayla took 5th place in her first race of the season on August 11th! She raced this past weekend on the 25th and came in 4th place! The next PKRA race is on September 15th, and, big news, Cole will be racing too! It will be his first race in kid karts!!! Come on out that evening and watch Cole & Makayla! See you there!

Makayla's Race Season!!!
Makayla's first race of the 2007 Fall Season was rained out, but we're ready for the next race - tomorrow, August 11th! Come out and support Makayla at PKRA - 43rd Ave & Pinnacle Peak. Entrance to the spectator area is free, and races start at 5pm! She'll race again on the 25th too! Hope to see you out there!

Our San Diego Family Vacation ~ July 2007
We visited San Diego and Campland on the Bay once again this year! Can you tell we really like it there? The weather was wonderful and we had such a great time! We spent two days at the beach, we visited Birch Aquarium, toured the USS Midway and dined at the Fish Market near Seaport Village. Camping in the RV is quickly becoming one of our favorite past-times! I love spending quality time with the kids, and getting away from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives! Hope you enjoy looking at our pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them!

Well, I'm trying something new on our blog - slide shows! I hope you enjoy!
We have been busy at home and work, and are looking forward to summer! The kids will be out of school in a few weeks, and can't wait to go camping at Campland in San Diego in July! We are great ~ and hope you are too!
